The exhibition “Zwart Licht” will reopen Huis der Zotheid
Bookstore with a Stage for Culture, Music, and Art
On March 29, 2025, at Huismanstraat, we will reopen Huis der Zotheid.
In a world where digital media often dominates our attention, the reopening of a bookstore serves as a powerful reminder of the beauty of physical spaces dedicated to culture and creativity.
We aim to transform this space into a vibrant cultural hub that seamlessly blends literature, art, and music, celebrating the richness of human expression.
Special attention will be given to the approximately 50m² Art Podium.
This art podium is dedicated exclusively to artists over 40 years old, highlighting their unique perspectives. It serves as a tribute to the continued relevance and vibrancy of mature artists in today’s cultural landscape.
The exhibition “Zwart Licht” will inaugurate the Art Podium, focusing on artists who incorporate printmaking into their artistic practices.
Curated by Landa van Vliet, the exhibition will feature works by Annelies de Greef, Niki Murphy, Inez Odijk, Esther Schoonhoven, Kitty van der Veer, and Esther Zitman.

- Special Viewing: Friday, April 11, 14:00 – 18:00 (Thursday and Friday by appointment)
- Regular Opening Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 14:00 – 18:30
